JEN WILKINS PSYCHOTHERAPY AND COUNSELLING

Hi, I’m Jen.

I’m an integrative psychotherapist and counsellor, working online and in Shoreditch, East London.

Life can be challenging and confusing. Whether you are struggling with a particular issue, feel stuck in unhelpful patterns or would like to understand yourself better, therapy offers a safe and non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts and feelings.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and down to earth. Together, we can make sense of your experiences to gain greater self-awareness and create meaningful and lasting change in your life.

About Me

About Me

My practice is integrative and trauma-informed, drawing from a range of different therapeutic modalities to best suit your needs.

I am particularly interested in how our past relationships with others shape who we are and how we experience the world. I work relationally which means that I encourage us to reflect on how we are interacting with each other and how this can shed light on your relationships outside of therapy. I also have an interest in the mind-body connection and how our emotional and physical health interlink.

Above all, I am committed to supporting you so that you feel empowered to access your own strengths and make the best choices for you.

I trained for four years at Regent’s University and have an MA in Psychotherapy and Counselling. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).

I have worked in various settings including the national Rape Crisis helpline, Headstrong and the NHS, and am experienced at working with a wide range of concerns such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship problems, addiction, sexual abuse, grief, complex trauma, identity confusion and lack of direction and purpose.

I have found therapy transformative in my own life and hope that it can be helpful for you too.

My pronouns are she/her. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and welcome diversity of all kinds.

What To Expect

Starting therapy can feel nerve wracking, especially if it is your first time seeking support. However, my aim is to make you feel safe and comfortable so that we can begin to explore what is troubling you.

In our first session, we will discuss what you are looking to get from therapy and how we might work together. You will have a space to ask any questions you might have about the process and decide whether I am the right therapist for you.

If we decide to work together, we will agree a time and see each other once per week. I offer open-ended sessions with regular check-ins to see how we are progressing.
